Defective microwave handle DO NOT PRUCHASE

While simply using the microwave, the peeling metal veneer on the door handle peeled away, resulting in a cut to my son™€™s finger. I was shocked and dismayed that a product designed for daily household use could pose such a sharp and immediate safety hazard. This handle, a primary contact point for operating the appliance, has clearly failed as a safe component.The handle was starting to peel off few months after we moved into the house. It states on the website microwave has 1 year warranty but when I contact customer service, they said it™€™s only 6 months. I reported the issue to Frigidaire about 9 months after we moved into our house. In order to replace a peeled handle, I needed to pay $155 for it.Just warn everyone there is a hazard issue and not to purchase microwave from Frigidaire.

Our former microwave was over 30 years old. This Frigidaire microwave has a turntable (I guess they all do now) and seems to be much more powerful. Nice looking too. We bought it as we were buying all new kitchen appliances and the stainless steel looks so good with all the other pieces. And it was well priced.
